AFTER #WHOLE30, IS #BEER30
A Beer Drinkers Guide to Whole30
I just want a nap
Day 5 & 6, Too busy to be this dang tired…
First off, sorry (not really) for the combined daily recaps (like anyone is actually reading this/cares). Anyway, I was pretty busy this weekend and never got around to recapping the days. Saturday was a very special day, in that I woke up completely un-hungover, as in not having a real hangover from drinking, not the Whole30 fake hangovers (first win of the day). It was an interesting feeling, knowing I could get up and start the day without having to fight through the hung stage of the morning.
The day started with one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever consumed (second win of the day), kudos to Tessa on that one. It continued as a very busy house / grocery day as we attempted to prepare for the following week’s meals. It took some time as we had to visit three different stores across town, fight the crowds and find things we’ve never heard of. It did feel good to get that accomplished and coming in at a much lower price point than expected (third win of the day). We did some house planning, aka making my house even more adultish than it already is since Tessa is moving in soon (oh snap).
Sunday was a much different day than expected. Alarm went off cause I was supposed to go snowmobiling but being so exhasuted I wanted to bail. My buddy Brian texted and said our Groomer was stuck due to a flooded creek. I’m on the board for the Missoula Snowgoers Snowmobile Association so I like to help as much as possible with such issues, thus I headed out. When we got up to Lolo Pass to help, turns out the creek along the cross country ski trails, which we groom, had flooded out under the visible snow and the groomer sunk in about 3-4 feet of water. It took the entire day to get out the beast but at least it was a beautiful spring day, it’s still winter isn’t it? I know I got a decent sunburn today though, yay me.
Returning home to a home cooked meal was super. Thanks again Tessa. My buddy Joe who is doing Whole30 as well joined and we ate these amazing stuffed twice baked potato things, which is about the best description I can give. Some further meal prep then bed time followed and the weekend is over. I officially survived the first Whole30 weekend. High Five!
