One of my favorite spots to fly fish sits in a pretty remote part of Northern Idaho and I am going to keep it a secret (seriously, I don’t want you there). I try and make it a few times a year but the season is pretty short in this area as you generally can’t access it before July comes around. The scenery is absolutely beautiful, the streams are full of 16-19 inch cutthroats and they are always hungry for just about anything you throw at them. Hiking up the river that is only accessible by trail, eating huckleberries and checking out all the elk, deer and other abundant wildlife that inhabit the area. This place will forever hold a special spot in my heart and if you ask nicely, I might just take you there someday.
